WDS commences Women in Mining program

WDS has partnered with the Queensland Government, Ebenezer Training and the Salvation Army to deliver one of the first Women in underground mining programs in Australia.  BMA have partnered with WDS to offer 10 positions at their Broadmeadow Site in the Bowen Basin.

"To date, we have had 240 women attend information sessions in Ipswich, Emerald and Mackay to learn more about the program" Mr Glenn Smith, General Manager, Human Resources said.   "The positions are currently being advertised on our website and we encourage women from all backgrounds to express their interest" Mr Smith Said.
